Kitchen Design Centre urges homeowners to upgrade to a designer kitchen before New Year to avoid VAT increase
With a major VAT increase set to kick in on 4 January it’s sensible to invest in new products before the New Year.
The Government’s legislation will see VAT rise from 17.5 per cent to 20 per cent in the New Year.
So for larger investments, such as home improvement, consumers can save hundreds, or even thousands, of pounds by making an early purchase.
The tax increase also means it will cost companies more to order to the materials in.
So experts at Kitchen Design Centre are advising potential buyers to purchase their modern kitchens now to avoid losing their money.
With the suppliers increase, 8 per cent, and the VAT increase on the kitchen itself, 2.5 per cent, buying a designer kitchen in the New Year would cost consumers a whopping 10 per cent more.
Putting that into context, a stylish £10,000 modern kitchen will cost £1000 more after 4 January.
And, with a only limited amount of installation slots available, Kitchen Design Centre urges its customers to place orders for new kitchens before 1 November.
Any kitchens which are booked after this date will have to be fitted in the New Year.
Kitchen Design Centre offers the latest in high quality Neff and Miele appliances and a bespoke service.
The company ensures all sinks, taps and worktops are of the highest quality – featuring optional ornaments to compliment.

Learn What You Need to Know Before Installing a Home Theater System
Until a few years ago the most enjoyable way to watch a movie, while keeping its original intention, was to go to a movie theater. The introduction of VCR’s made it
easy to rent or buy movies and watch them at home, but TVs simply couldn’t compare to movie theaters’ huge screens and surround sound systems. Not only did TVs have
comparatively small screens and lower quality speakers, but formatting a movie to fit the screen got rid of a substantial part of the picture.
However, more people are now turning their ordinary TV rooms into home theaters. This used to involve a projector and a screen, and it was too expensive for most
people to afford. However, advances in technology have given people more choices for home theater systems. The advantages of home theater systems are that they are
quieter and much more convenient than movie theaters. The excellent picture and sound will also make you feel as if you are in the movie theater itself.
At first, home theaters used 8mm and 16mm film projectors, making movie selections very limited. Then, home theaters had 35mm gear, followed by VHS, and beta, tape.
After that it was Laser-discs, which were like very DVD’s. Laser-discs were followed by DVD’s, until most recently as DVD’s are now being replaced with Blu-Ray Discs.
It’s a completely different game now as home theater system technology has considerably advanced. Contemporary home theater systems, which can include Blu-Ray players,
HD Satellite TV systems, DLP LCD, plasma TVs, and digital surround sound can be incredibly overwhelming to many people. The purpose of our free download-able booklet
is to help you make an informed decision when considering your home theater system purchase.
First of all, you do not have to spend a small fortune to achieve your desired effect. An amazing home theater system can fit within even the most modest budget. All
you really need for the basic home cinema experience is a DVD player or Blu-Ray player, a good video display, and digital surround sound. With those 3 main
components, you can begin to enjoy movies at home more than before.
Some of the best home theater systems are ones which are incorporated into a family or living room. These home theater systems are built right into the room, are
completely unobtrusive, and go fairly unnoticed. These systems look the best because they are like an extension of your house itself, and they don’t look like separate
components wired together, even though they are in reality. In fact, most of your guests won’t even notice these kinds of home theater systems until you turn on the
television or pop in a movie, after which they’ll be blown away.
If you have a larger budget you may want a dedicated room for your home movie experience. A dedicated home theater system room can transform the unused area in your
basement into the hotspot of your home.
If you’re looking to purchase a home theater system, you have a lot of decisions ahead of you. In our free booklet, we go over all the components that make up a home
theater system. You’ll learn what each component does and what to keep in mind when you make your final decision. If you’re thinking of turning your den into a fully
functioning home theater, our free booklet will help you get started. You can download your free booklet at http://www.njhometheaters.com.

Things to Consider Before You Buy a Mobile Home
If you are looking to buy a used mobile home, you are not alone. With the cost of living rising and home prices dropping, it might not be a bad time to save on the real estate end of your budget and think about buying a used mobile home.
Today’s mobile homes can be just as spacious and attractive as a regular home. There are new and used mobile homes that feature amenities like wall-to-wall carpeting, central heating and air conditioning, whirlpool tubs and much more. The cost of a used mobile home can range from affordable to extravagant. Factors that will affect the price are location, size, quality and age of the home.
When shopping for a used mobile home, there are many factors to consider. The first thing is the size of the home. Always take an in-depth tour of the homes you are considering and make sure they are large enough to accommodate your family. Find out as much as you can about the energy efficiency of the home, the materials used to construct the home, and the various features and benefits the home offers. Any reputable mobile home dealer will happily provide you with all the information you will need to make an informed choice. Make sure that the home you are considering bears a certificate of compliance which states it is in line with HUD standards.
If you don’t already own a piece of land on which to put your mobile home, you may either want to purchase one, or buy a mobile home that is already established in a mobile home park. Just like mobile home parks range in quality, mobile home parks do as well. There are parks that are not very appealing, with the homes very close together. These parks usually offer the cheapest options for mobile home seekers, but cheaper is not always better. Then there are high quality mobile home parks with spacious lots, attractive homes, and rules that govern the conduct of individuals and families residing in the parks. A nice mobile home park can make all the difference in your satisfaction with your home and your quality of living.
There are many places to look for a used manufactured home. You can start with the classified ads, both ads in your local newspaper and online at sites such as Craigslist. If you are searching online, you can also check out eBay as well as sites specializing in mobile homes. You can also check your local yellow pages as many mobile home sales companies sell used as well as new homes.
Searching for a used manufactured home is only part of the process. You also want to make sure you buy a good one.
You need to determine the actual value of the mobile home. Since manufactured homes depreciate and lose value more quickly, you may find that the home is not worth the asking price. You can find the standard value of a particular brand, style and year of manufactured home by checking the Blue Book at your local public library. (You may have to ask a librarian help you obtain this information from another library.) You can also ask your local bank or manufactured home dealership for this information.
Value is also determined by such add-ons as decks, garages, additional rooms and the like that can increase the value. Check with the local county appraisers offer to find out how the manufactured home property has been appraised for tax purposes.
You also need to thoroughly evaluate the condition of the home. As manufactured homes age, they suffer from the same ills as traditional homes…wiring or plumbing problems, aging furnaces, and the like.
The best way to do determine the value and condition of the manufactured home you are considering buying is by hiring an appraiser with experience in appraising manufactured homes. Check the yellow pages or ask your local bank for recommendations.
By the way, if you are planning on keeping the manufactured home where it sits, you need to be approved by the mobile home park where the home is located. Make sure you do that before buying the home or you may find you need to move when you were not planning on it. Not only that, but check out the park itself as you may find that you actually do not want to stay that after all.

Think Carefully Before Redecorating Your Kitchen!
By far the kitchen is one of the most important rooms in the home. It has grown in importance from an out-of-the-way service area to a room that’s central both physically and functionally to the home, which is why kitchen decorating ideas are so important.
Kitchen decorating ideas are easy to find if you know where to look and keep a more observant eye open. Channels like the Home and Garden Television Network and the Discovery Channel have paved the way for many homeowners’ home improvement renovations. Among the renovations are kitchen makeovers that incorporate state of the art kitchen decorating ideas as well as traditional styles and decorating ideas. There are even specials on do-it-yourself kitchen decorating ideas that can teach you simple things like wall-painting jobs, such as sponging, mottling, and rag-rolling that can make your kitchen a tad more attractive. You can even get ideas by really noticing the kitchens in various homes that you visit like your friends’ and relatives’ homes.
Perhaps one of the most difficult things is deciding whether you want to go retro or whether you want the trendiest cooking space available on the market today. What can make this decision harder is if you live in a home that’s generally traditional and everything in your floor plan caters for a traditional kitchen. But the good news is that if you do choose to stick with the traditional style kitchen décor you can always update the look to keep your kitchen looking new, fresh and working functionally. Again all you have to do is look around. Try visiting your local home improvement store and have a chat with the sales assistants or even jump online and browse the internet for some great ideas in the traditional department.
However it can sometimes be easier to find kitchen decorating ideas for modern cooking areas than it is for retro-style rooms and also many people prefer to really upgrade instead of just update their kitchens and for these reasons a lot of people tend to opt for the contemporary style kitchen décor. There are many sleek contemporary kitchen decorating ideas available on the market today so finding one that’s right for your needs, budget and available kitchen space shouldn’t prove too difficult. The beauty of contemporary kitchen designs really lies in its sleek and smooth designs that allow you to hide every appliance behind cabinets that boast clean lines and smooth edges. These appliances can be recessed into the walls or they can be built right into your countertops and the look is not only elegantly subtle, but it also works great in saving a lot of space in your kitchen.
However because the entire face of kitchen décor has changed to be more space, time and money economic, many of today’s appliances are designed to camouflage themselves into the room. These concealed models function on a superior level than the customary appliances and come in such a vast array that they can match and mesh well with almost any existing kitchen décor.
Adding accent kitchen lighting is yet another way to really give your kitchen a nice face lift and it can be done very cheaply and quickly. Cabinet and counter lighting are good options for a quick functional and aesthetic look.
But whatever decorating idea you choose to employ in your kitchen it is always best that your décor works for you instead of against you. Functionality should never be compromised for beauty especially not in a kitchen. It’s a wise idea for your kitchen decorating ideas to suit your dining room and living room needs as well since these rooms tend to directly correspond with each other.
One Final Tip: Do get many ideas before starting any home project, visit home improvement ideas a site offering tips on matters like bath tubs, color schemes and much more.
